Project location alone does not determine acceptance. SSUD confirms that the requested work is within the firm’s services, the responsible Professional Engineer’s competence, and every required business and individual authorization before engagement.
Civil Engineering Service Area
SSUD’s website currently describes its civil engineering and site-design service area as Santa Rosa County, Florida. Typical work may include lot drainage plans, pool drainage plans, stormwater design, utility design, site development, and permitting support.
Availability remains subject to project type, jurisdiction, workload, required supporting professionals, and a written scope accepted by SSUD.
Structural Engineering Service Area
SSUD’s website currently describes its structural engineering service area as Northwest Florida and South Alabama, excluding Mobile County. Typical work may include new homes, additions and remodels, accessory structures, and repeat-builder support.
Structural services are offered only in jurisdictions where both the responsible engineer and the business organization are properly authorized for the engagement.
Authorization Before Engagement
Before accepting work, SSUD should verify:
- The property’s state, county, municipality, and permitting authority.
- The discipline and engineering scope required.
- The responsible Professional Engineer’s active license and competence for that work.
- Any required engineering-business registration or firm Certificate of Authorization.
- Whether another licensed professional, survey, geotechnical report, or specialty design is required.
Requests Outside the Listed Area
Submitting an inquiry does not constitute acceptance. SSUD may decline, refer, or request additional information for work outside the listed area or outside its authorized services. No professional-services relationship is created until SSUD accepts the project and the required written agreement or authorization is completed.
